Homeless No More: Brooks Family

Ms. Brooks knows firsthand how difficult it can be to break the cycle of homelessness. After experiencing chronic homelessness, she was unable to keep up with her rent and eventually reached the eviction stage, putting her and her daughter at risk of losing their home once again. Determined not to fall back into homelessness, Ms. Brooks searched everywhere for help until she found HALA. We stepped in at a critical time, providing housing assistance that prevented the eviction and allowed her family to remain in their home. We also connected Ms. Brooks with employment opportunities to help her work toward long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

This week, Ms. Brooks and her daughter are safely housed and have the opportunity to move forward without the fear of losing their home. We are so grateful we could be there when they needed it most, and we're proud to support them as they continue building a brighter future together.
