Rodriguez Family Overcome Homelessness

Karla is a single mom who works full time to support her daughter. Unfortunately, Karla and her daughter lost their home due to a fire. Our partners at Burbank Unified School District referred the family for support. We were able to enroll the family into our City of Burbank Rapid Rehousing program. After a few weeks of case management, goal setting, and advocating we were able to secure a new home for the family. The Rodriguez’s signed their lease on April 1st. We will work with the family for a few months to make certain they are financially stable to take on their apartment lease. We are so excited for Karla and her daughter, and thankful for partners like the City and School District who are able to support one another to better the lives of families.
