Gonzalez Family: HOUSED!

Gonzalez Family: HOUSED! Sergio, a single father of 4 year old boy named Abel, has been working alongside our Family Promise staff for a few months trying to get back on his feet. Sergio became a single father when Abel’s mom decided she could no longer take care of her son. Sergio and Abel became homeless over one year ago due to lack of financial resources, and began living in a crisis shelter program. Sergio reached out to Family Promise of the Verdugos in hope of finding housing resources for his family. Family Promise staff, Chaquitta Boyce, immediately assisted this family with housing, personal essentials, and hot meals. We are thrilled to share with you that the family of two signed their apartment lease on Monday, May 3rd! We will continue to work alongside the family in making certain they have the support needed to eventually be self-sufficient.
