"Leyva Family" Moves Into Housing!! - "I felt as if I was never going to rebound," says "Ms. Leyva" as she thinks back on the experience of living out of her car and relying on food pantries to support herself and her daughter after leaving a difficult relationship. The hopelessness went on for months, and Ms. Leyva began to deal with anxiety due to the lack of certainty and stability. However, her daughter's smile kept her going until LA County's 211 hotline connected them to Family Promise. It wasn't long before, on May 18th, Family Promise staff assisted the family in securing an apartment unit! They will receive stabilization services from our team so we can get them back to stability. Congrats to the Leyva family!
