Ms. Vara was referred by Officer Kim of the Glendale Police DepartmentMs. Vara is a single mother and the sole provider for two young daughters. Due to unfortunate circumstances, Ms. Vara made the decision to leave her previous home for the safety of her daughters and her well-being. Furthermore, the COVID-19 pandemic created more difficulty finding employment and childcare. This past month we worked alongside the family to secure permanent housing, utilizing our Rapid Rehousing program. Mom has expressed that she is optimistic that she will get on her feet again, so she can continue to work towards financial stability and providing appropriate childcare for her daughters. We will work with the family for six months in helping the family achieve stability. This is all thanks to our staff and our Glendale Rapid Rehousing program.
