Holiday Gift Distribution Event

On December 17, Family Promise held its first ever Gift Distribution Drive Thru for the families in our program, and our partners at the Walt Disney Company came through by adopting 75 of our families to give them presents to open on Christmas morning. Employees from Disney went all out with the purchasing, wrapping, and delivering the gifts, which was especiall

y significant in a year where many of our families were concerned about not being able to provide their children with gifts at all. So many of the parents have been saving their funds for an emergency, and many have experienced layoffs at some point this year. Disney's contributions brought a magical experience for all. We would also like to thank our partners at California Pizza Kitchen for donating pizza and desserts for each family. Additionally, a special thanks goes out to a group of volunteers from First Christian Church of Burbank for securing some elves and Santa to join in on the fun. And, finally, a huge thank you to First Presbyterian Church of Burbank for allowing us to have this event on their campus. We had plenty of space to follow social distancing protocols and ensure that the event was as safe as it was inspiring.
