HALA Reports Out at Chamber Mixer
On Wednesday, August 24 the Burbank Chamber of Commerce hosted its bi-monthly What's Brewing Burbank? mixer at the world-famous West Coast Customs. HALA was invited to be this month's presenter; sharing information about the services we provide to the community. As part of our presentation, we invited the City of Burbank Homeless Services Department to share what we are doing collaboratively to make a difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness and on the verge of homelessness. The City's representatives, Marcos Gonzalez, and Robert Newman, spoke about all the outreach services they provide along with a history of homelessness in our community. HALA CEO Albert Hernandez shared information about the various programs we offer including rapid rehousing and shelter. Albert expressed his gratitude to all the business owners in the room who support HALA so that we can bring aid to the poor and vulnerable. Thanks to all those in attendance.
