Castro's Move In
Ms. Castro and her family of 3 came to Family Promise as a referral from the Burbank Unified School District when the mother shared that they were experiencing homelessness. Ms. Castro had been searching for five months for a new home but was turned down by multiple landlords. During her episode of homelessness that family slept in motels and were provided food, hygiene products and more by our organization. Our trained and compassionate staff began screening the family to identify the most suitable program; the family was approved for our City of Burbank PLHA rapid rehousing program. Soon after we were able to work with one of our landlords in our network who agreed to give the Castro family a second chance. On October 11 we helped the

amily sign a lease on there new home.
